Support

Hayden’s Promise is a home-grown, all volunteer, non-profit, no kill rescue. We rely on donations and community support to continue this work.

Shop

Show your rescue spirit! Sales of our (almost) all organic lines of threads and accessories benefit Haydens Promise, helping us spay, neuter, vaccinate, feed, train, and socialize all the animals in our program. Go shopping.

Volunteer

If you can’t foster right now, you can still help! Our dogs, cats and others all need walks and play time and love to visit with new people. Sometimes we have dogs in obedience training and need humans to hold their leashes. Sometimes we take them hiking or to the lake, and we can always use help keeping everyone safe. We have pet profiles and the web site to update, photos to take, animals to groom, fliers to create and distribute, events to attend… and we’d love to have you join us at the level of involvement that works for you.

Foster

Because we do not operate a centralized shelter, we depend on foster families to care for our animals. The foster home system is better for the animals because it provides a level of socialization and individual attention in a home environment that cannot be duplicated in a shelter. It takes a special kind of person or family to foster an orphaned animals, and we’re always taking applications.

Fostering is a great way to introduce your kids to responsible pet-keeping and animal welfare and is a great option for military families who are unable to or prefer not to make a permanent committment. The important thing to remember is that the more foster homes and caretakers we have to call on, the more pets we can save from death in the desert. If you have a little bit of space in your home and the willingness to help us help them, please contact us!

Donate

Of course, we always need help with supplies, medications, veterinary care, food, treats, and other essential items to keep the animals happy and healthy. We shop at Del Rio Feed & Supply, PetCo, and Walmart. All of our pets are treated at Val Verde Veterinary Hospital and groomed at Debbie’s Dog Grooming.

Below you will find our “wish list”. It includes items we need on an on-going basis as well as tools we’d like to have for the animals. If you think of something we might need that’s not on the list, send us an email, and we’ll tell you whether we can use it or if we know someone else who could. We are grateful for all donations.
